Habla Arte is an international bilingual visual arts and public speaking program for underserved English Learner students, dedicated to establishing Spanish as an authoritative language of academic and creative excellence while closing the language-equity gap. Founded at a single table at El Sol Academy in Santa Ana, that mission now reaches 15 Title I schools across three states, 2,000+ students, and educators in six countries across North and South America, validated by peer-reviewed research with UC Irvine’s School of Education and scaled through the Speak Art digital platform, which has reached 800+ students. Habla Arte is now charting a course toward 378 California Title I schools within four years, building not just a program, but a permanent statewide infrastructure for bilingual excellence.
Introducing our comprehensive bilingual arts and public speaking curriculum, created by our team to close the confidence gap for young English Learners. The workbook pairs step-by-step drawing instruction with a weekly public speaking focus, so students build artistic skill and spoken confidence side by side. Culturally rooted projects and bilingual prompts run through all ten units, giving students real reasons to express themselves proudly in both languages, on the page and out loud.
The Lit League is one of the first multilingual spoken word poetry programs for middle school students in the United States, giving young people the support to transform their most defining experiences into public testimony. We treat language as the raw material of powerful storytelling, not an obstacle to it. Since its founding, the program has reached more than 5,000 youth in person, culminating in the largest multilingual middle school poetry slam in Orange County’s history, and its reach now extends internationally through a 40-page bilingual workbook distributed to partner schools across South America. With 26 events planned for the 2026–2027 season and a formalized leadership pipeline of teen coaches and alumni, The Lit League is building a lasting national movement in which young poets don’t just find their voice — they use it to lead.
